Last year’s community art project was so well received that we are doing another one! Working with local glass artist Kathy Seff, we’ll create unique art glass squares to be installed on fencing outside the Selden building. Kick-off sessions Saturday, June 9th, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 10th, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at MCPL Selden will feature an artist talk, instruction and creation of glass tile art. Throughout the summer, community members attending programs at the library will have opportunities to take part in this special project.
This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Huntington Arts Council. Additional support provided by the Friends of the Middle Country Public Library.
