This spring, summer and fall we will be continuing with our mission to engage local residents in collaborative art projects crafted by and for the community. This time we will be working with local mosaic artist, Libby Hintz, to create a unique mosaic mural to be installed in the Community Room at the Centereach building. Kick-off sessions, Saturday, May 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 19 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. will feature an artist talk, instruction and a hands-on opportunity to begin working on the mural. Registration for either kick-off session is required. Throughout the coming months community members will have many opportunities to take part in this special project.

This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Huntington Arts Council.
